What You Need to Know About Radiation Dangers

Microwave shielding

It’s common knowledge whenever a nuclear disaster happens that radiation is bad for us. Extreme levels of it can be hazardous and even deadly, and we’ve seen places like Chelyabinsk be completely shut down and quarantined once their levels get too high. But how often are we thinking about the radiation we face day to day? We are swimming in technology in this day and age, and cell phones and laptops pose a risk due to radiation. There was little to no evidence before that people realized the risks posed. EMF shielding is becoming more popular as people realize the effects that cordless phone radiation has, or the effects of cell phone and laptop use.

EMF shielding is the use of something like a bioshield against EMF dangers. A laptop radiation shield, for example, will keep you safe as you continue to use your device. Many realize that since the rise of technology has found its way into every part of our lives, it isn’t realistic to expect people not to use devices. But there has to be a way to protect ourselves and protect children especially.

These shields can protect people against the dangers of radiation, as we wait with bated breath to see long-term effects on the first generation to grow up surrounded with technology. A 2010 study found that children aged eight to 17 showed symptoms of irritation, headaches, and concentration issues after short-term EMF exposure. Another study in 2012 examined the effects of chronic exposure, finding that there was physiological stress in cells after just 1.5 years. These findings don’t take into account this newest generation, who will never know a time that they weren’t surrounded by technology. There is no telling what the effects will be of spending entire lifetimes in front of various screens

It is of the utmost importance that we keep an eye on these effects as time goes on so that we can adjust to these longer-term effects. The future for now is uncertain, but many researchers fear for our future as a technology-based society.

What do you think? Will you be changing habits or trying to find shielding to combat these issues?
