Love and marriage are beautiful things, but if they do not work for you for one reason or the other, the best option is to call it quits. However, the divorce process is not a simple one, especially considering the division of assets and deciding who gets your children’s custody if you have any. That is why it is advisable to consider working with Charlotte attorneys who deal with divorces. Such professionals are well-versed in divorce matters, and they are better positioned to give you the proper guidance. However, you need to be vigilant about the kind of divorce lawyer you hire to represent you in court.
You should get an attorney who should answer the question like, after divorce mediation what is the next step? Am I divorced or single? In this world, you will meet so many such professionals, but you need to be sure that they can answer questions like, are legal separations public record? This means the lawyer has to be well-versed with the constitutional law to help you realize that dream. Besides that, your lawyer should have a clear guideline of what happens next. They should be in a position to guide you on what happens after filing for divorce. You need to know what will happen so that you can appropriately plan your life.
Sadly, over 50% of American marriages end in divorce. When a married couple embarks on a journey to lose weight together, it often strengthens their bond. When only one spouse decides to make important life changes, however, it can sometimes lead to jealousy, frustration, and even divorce.
According to the Independent Journal Review, Angela Crickmore, a 36-year-old mother from London, reached 180 pounds after years of living a sedentary lifestyle. While she was bothered by the extra weight, she claims that her marriage never suffered because of it.
“I felt beautiful. My husband thought I was beautiful. But the outside pressure from friends and family made me very self-conscious,” Crickmore said.
After one of her friends lost 20 pounds, Crickmore decided to follow suit and make some positive changes in her daily routine. She researched diets online and decided to start eating small meals once every three hours.
Eventually, the weight began melting off. Now, Crickmore has dropped a whopping 70 pounds, going from a size 18 to a size 6. However, as her life changed for the better, her marriage began to deteriorate.
In order to avoid falling into old habits, Crickmore no longer cooked dinner for her son and husband. While the svelte gym rat enjoyed her new body, her husband preferred to stay home and watch television.
“The new me felt great, active and wanting more out of life,” Crickmore explained. “I wanted to hike, camp, travel, meet people. I became so active that I even stopped watching TV.”
Her new lifestyle became too much for her husband to handle, and the two divorced after nine years of marriage. The U.S. has a divorce rate of 3.4 per 1,000 people, and while jealousy may have played a role, it’s rare to see a couple separate after one spouse undergoes such a positive transformation.
According to The Sun, Crickmore’s son, Luy, went to live with his father after the divorce. The fit mother almost called it quits on her new lifestyle after this, adding that she “started to have panic attacks.”
However, Crickmore soon realized that it was just something she had to accept. Three years after the divorce, she claims to be happier than ever and ready to meet someone new.
Now that she has completed her sports nutrition degree, Crickmore hopes to become a fitness coach. If she works as hard to reach that goal as she did to lose weight, it’s safe to say she has a bright career ahead of her.
